Apple compote with cinnamon for the winter

Apples are undoubtedly one of the healthiest fruits in our latitudes, they make delicious jam, make confitures and pastilles, roll up fragrant compotes. However, you can add zest to ordinary homemade preparations with the help of correctly selected spices. One small stick of cinnamon will transform a regular apple compote.

Wash the apples, cut into quarters and core with seeds.

Wash and sterilize the compote jar, boil the lid. Place the apples in a jar.

Boil water in a saucepan. Fill a jar of apples with boiling water and leave for 15 minutes. Then drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar and cook the syrup until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Put a cinnamon stick in a jar with apples, pour hot syrup up to the top and roll up the lid. Wrap the compote in a warm blanket until it cools completely. Store rolled compote in a cool place.
