Cottage cheese casserole with orange zest

A curd casserole can be a good choice for a nutritious and healthy breakfast or a light family dinner. Today we bring you a recipe for a casserole with orange peel - this flavoring addition gives each curd dish fresh and aromatic notes of citrus and makes it even more mouth-watering. Instead of orange peel, you can add dried fruit pieces, raisins, fresh berries, or any fruit wedges to the casserole.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
On a medium grater, grate the zest from the peel of one orange, but at the very beginning wash this fruit very well with a kitchen sponge and detergent, and also rinse it thoroughly under running water.
step 2 out of 8
Peel the orange itself, disassemble it into slices and cut them into small pieces.
step 3 out of 8
Let's prepare a dough for baking from cottage cheese. In a convenient container, use a spatula or fork to combine the sugar, orange zest and cottage cheese, and add the chicken eggs.
step 4 out of 8
So that the mass does not turn out too thick (and this may be, if the cottage cheese is very dense), add a couple of tablespoons of milk, sour cream or kefir to the dough.
step 5 out of 8
To prevent the dough from burning, grease the baking dish with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and then put half of the curd mass there. The non-stick or silicone mold does not need to be oiled.
step 6 out of 8
Place the sliced orange on top of the curd dough.
step 7 out of 8
Cover the orange slices with the rest of the dough.
step 8 out of 8
Preheat the oven to 190-200 degrees and bake the casserole until tender, checking it with a wooden skewer (the casserole is ready when the skewer remains dry if you pierce the dough with it). Bake the dish for at least 45-60 minutes, focusing on the capabilities of your oven.

Bon Appetit!
