When making preparations for the winter, you always want to try something new and interesting. Using this recipe, you can make a fairly non-standard jam from gooseberry and cherry leaves. This jam is called in another way royal for its noble appearance and wonderful taste.

For this jam, it is better to take a slightly unripe gooseberry. Sort the berries, wash, remove the tails.

Cherry leaves should be young and free from signs of disease. Cover half the leaves with water and bring to a boil over medium heat.

Pour the gooseberry berries with the cherry broth together with the leaves, cool and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, discard the berries in a colander, separating them from the infusion. Combine the cherry infusion with sugar and bring this mixture to a boil.

Transfer the gooseberries to the sugar syrup. Cook the berries in syrup for 12 minutes from boiling.
