Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
First, we sort out the red currants, after which we thoroughly rinse it under running water. We discard the berries in a colander and let stand in this way until all the excess liquid has drained off. Do not forget to remove the twigs.
step 2 out of 5
Now we transfer the berries to a separate container and knead the currants with a crush. Next, we wipe everything through a sieve to get rid of the seeds.
step 3 out of 5
Add granulated sugar to the grated red currant and mix everything thoroughly until it completely dissolves. Stir in one direction to speed up the gelation process.
step 4 out of 5
We wash the jars thoroughly under hot water with soda, after which we sterilize them in any convenient way. We spread red currant jelly on them and close with plastic lids or cover with parchment paper, which we fix with an elastic band. Now we send it to the refrigerator for storage.
step 5 out of 5
Serve red currant jelly to the table with hot tea and fresh white bread or use it as a filling for baking.
