Red currant juice jelly

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Red currant berries must be sorted out, all leaves and twigs must be removed. Then we thoroughly rinse the red currants and transfer them to a container in which the jelly will be prepared. Add a glass of water to the berries and set the container on medium heat. We heat until the berries begin to burst and the juice is released.
step 2 out of 4
After that, cool the berries a little, then rub them twice through a fine sieve. It is important that the jelly turns out to be homogeneous, without inclusions of peels and seeds.
step 3 out of 4
Pour the resulting red currant juice into a container, add granulated sugar, mix everything and put on fire.
step 4 out of 4
As soon as the mass boils, cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly and skimming off the foam. Then we remove the jelly from the fire, pour it into the prepared jars, close the lids tightly, turn the jars upside down and leave the jelly until it cools completely. It may seem that the jelly turned out to be quite liquid, but as it cools, it will thicken.

Enjoy your tea!
