The simplest recipe for jelly from red currant juice, but it turns out to be incredibly tasty and aromatic. Sweet and sour jelly will complement family tea and any pastries. Making jelly is quite simple and quick. Such preparation for the winter turns out to be not only tasty, but also healthy.
Ingredients
Cooking process
Red currant berries must be sorted out, all leaves and twigs must be removed. Then we thoroughly rinse the red currants and transfer them to a container in which the jelly will be prepared. Add a glass of water to the berries and set the container on medium heat. We heat until the berries begin to burst and the juice is released.
As soon as the mass boils, cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly and skimming off the foam. Then we remove the jelly from the fire, pour it into the prepared jars, close the lids tightly, turn the jars upside down and leave the jelly until it cools completely. It may seem that the jelly turned out to be quite liquid, but as it cools, it will thicken.
Enjoy your tea!
