Cherry and strawberry compote for a 3-liter jar for the winter

This healthy berry compote with a minimum amount of sugar will become a favorite delicacy for your children, because who among us did not like preparations with whole strawberries. In addition, the cooking process itself will not take much of your time and, with all this, it will give you a lot of pleasure.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We thoroughly wash the collected cherries in running water, then sort through and cut off all the tails. If desired, the berries can be soaked for about 15-20 minutes in lightly salted water.
step 2 out of 5
Strawberries need to be handled more carefully so as not to deform the juicy fruits. After carefully cutting off all the tails, rinse and dry the strawberries thoroughly. You can also pat dry with a paper towel.
step 3 out of 5
Thoroughly rinse a three-liter jar with soda and dry completely. It is better to do this at the very beginning in parallel with the preparation of the berries themselves. Put the strawberries and cherries on the bottom of the jar and pour boiling water over them. Covering it with a lid, leave it alone for 10-15 minutes.
step 4 out of 5
Be sure to set the time so as not to overheat the berries and then pour the broth into a saucepan. Dissolve granulated sugar in it and bring the entire contents to a boil.
step 5 out of 5
Then we return the boiling fruit broth to the jars, filling them to the very neck, and roll up the compote with a sterilized lid. Before sending the compote for storage, it must be gradually cooled to room temperature.
We wish you bon appetite and delicious compotes!
