Tomatoes under the snow appetizer

We suggest you marinate your tomatoes “under the snow”. This beautiful and delicious snack comes from the minced garlic that snows over the red tomatoes. For preparation, choose small, dense tomatoes. We marinate in 1.5 liter jars and by the double pouring method.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Sterilize the cans by any means and boil the lids. Rinse the tomatoes thoroughly and place them compactly in sterile jars. Then pour boiling water over the tomatoes, cover the jars with lids and leave them for 20 minutes.
step 2 out of 4
During this time, peel the chives and finely chop them with a sharp knife. Do not use the garlic maker to chop the garlic, otherwise the marinade will turn out cloudy. For a can, you need at least 1.5 tbsp. l. chopped garlic.
step 3 out of 4
After 20 minutes, pour the water from the cans through a special lid into a separate saucepan. Add to it the amount of salt and sugar indicated in the recipe, stir and cook the marinade. Put chopped garlic on top of the tomatoes and pour over a spoonful of vinegar. Then pour the boiling marinade over the tomatoes.
step 4 out of 4
Immediately seal the jars hermetically, turn them over onto the lids and cover with a blanket. Transfer cooled tomatoes to storage. After a month, the tomatoes will marinate well, and you can serve them to the table.
