Gooseberry jam with mint

Awesome aromatic mint jam has an amazing and unusual taste. Citric acid will help keep the harvest until next summer, but if the berry is very acidic, you can do it without it. It is necessary to cook in several stages, so it will take some time to wait for the workpiece to cool.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Wash the berries well, cut the tails on both sides with scissors and rinse again, let the liquid drain from it. Rinse the mint sprigs and dry a little with a napkin.
step 2 out of 5
Put the berries and mint in a saucepan with a thick bottom.
step 3 out of 5
Separately put sugar in water and simmer the syrup for about 3 minutes to completely dissolve the sugar. Add hot syrup to the berries and leave to stand under the lid until it cools completely, about 6-8 hours.
step 4 out of 5
Boil the jam over medium heat and leave to cool again, covered. Boil it again and cook for 20 minutes, remove the mint branches and add the lemon.
step 5 out of 5
Pour the jam into sterile jars and roll up. Turn the jars over and cover with a blanket until the next day to cool completely. Store the jam in a cool place.

Bon Appetit!
