Apple compote with chokeberry for the winter

Pleasant sweet taste and delicate aroma of apple and chokeberry compote will be appreciated by both adults and children. Chokeberry berries color the compote in a beautiful crimson color and after heat treatment they absolutely stop knitting.

Prepare the container for the compote in advance, it must be well washed and sterilized. Wash the black chokeberry berries and discard them in a colander.

Put rowan in a jar, it should approximately fill ¼ of the volume.

Wash the apples, cut in half and remove the core with seeds. Place the apple slices in a jar.

Pour the required amount of water into a saucepan, add sugar, bring the syrup to a boil and cook for 3-4 minutes. Then pour the hot syrup into the jar, close the lid and leave the seaming to cool completely at room temperature. Store the compote in a cool place, out of direct sunlight.
